Barrett-Jackson classic car auction
(Cliff8928 @ Jan. 13 2009,12:14)QUOTE (Ribz80 @ Jan. 13 2009,09:17)QUOTEAren't there ways around that if you REALLY wanted this car on the road? Couldn't you graft on the front clip of a production yellow Indy Coupe and use that VIN and Title? It's a bit sketchy, but if done right, wouldn't that wo...

Barrett-Jackson classic car auction
(Cliff8928 @ Jan. 10 2009,11:40)QUOTEIt should be the custom 3.4 with 4T60. The car will be sold with a scrap title though. Aren't there ways around that if you REALLY wanted this car on the road? ET's for a stock 3.1 Z26
A member here back in 2001 ran about 16.0 at 86 bone stock with like 50k on the clock.
We also had a base 3100 run a 15.8 with a 3k new engine.
But for the most part 16.3-5 at 84-85mph is the norm.

Question About Beretta Potential
A well driven 3.1 5spd can hit 15.8-15.9. I saw a couple of stock 3.1's with 130k+ run 15.9's.
A 3400 5spd with headers, intake, full 2.5" exhaust and UDP and chip should hover around 14.0. If you add an LSD and drag radials high 13's.

You can also use a 3.4 stroker kit which will physically look like a 3.1. Then with a cam and chip that should give you a substantial gain in power over stock, like 30-40hp. Add a ported and polished top end with upgraded springs and retainers and you are at 50+hp.

I ran a custom chip for a couple of years. I doubt they would have any way of knowing. It should be worth 5-8whp and a higher redline and require a better grade of fuel. Stay away from Jet or hypertech, they wont do anything. Get a chip from Ben on 60degreeV6, he knows how to tune MPFI's really ...

Beretta Turbo Updates
2.4x 60ft shows there is a lot of room for improvement. 2.1-2.2 60 fts on some air downed stickier tires should net you a 15.0-15.2.

My Dyno Run video
(rweatherford @ May 23 2007,22:47)QUOTEWhy does that suprise you? Mustang dynos usually read a little lower than a dynojet. Do you have a chart to post so that we can give some type of suggestions? Your car was factory rated 140 HP and 180 Ft-lbs. You have an auto tranny. Pauls 2.8L Turbo 5-Spee...

Still here. Beretta-less for a year as I built up my Viggen. Then decided instead of putting it through winters on snow tires why not just get a Beretta for winter instead and to keep the miles down.
Wound up with a 3.1 5spd 89 GT with digi cluster, Z seats and Indy wheels.
