Re: Mini Van from hell
That is bad. I hear you.......after years of screwing with junk cars I've had it. You never want to give up, but sometimes your better off.
So the FPR is in good shape? Almost seems like a fuel problem. Injectors?

Re: 89 2.8 Idles at 2500-3000 at Cold Startup
Had a lot of problems with the idle on my 95. It would be fine and normal for months. Then one day the rpm would crank up to 2500rpm just after the start. It seemed like changing the TPS helped. After the third time the brain kicked in.....there must be something more to this. Inspecting the pig tai...

Should have known you would have that covered. AWD conversion? Is there anything you can't do?

Re: Intake hose/boot from airbox to tb
Looks like the factory one went with a box of connecters and tubes that were given to someone with an MGB project. All that is left is the air box and the "improved" one. It fits great, just didn't have a hole for the PCV tube. Used a breather on the valve cover....not recommended. Guess y...

Wow! That 400 seems like a bit much, even for a wagon(as if that added much more to the weight). LOL never rode with him again.
Great story.
Not sure if AP exhaust makes anything for a TT, you can get a full stock exhaust for a Beretta without crush bends though.

Rode in an MGB with a cammed 3400. That was fun and they for sure have some very nice brakes.

Would have to look. May still have the one off my old 90GT. Could even have the "improved" one that I made.

Re: Am I blue? No, the new car is though...
Always kind of liked the TT's. There is just something about them. Also had a lot of fun with the fake ones on the Grand Turismo games. For me it would be a large step up and would be pleasure to drive. Not that I know enough about them to say that for sure. Coming from low end GM cars its got to ha...

Re: what did you do to your ride today?
Last week the fender was pried out. Bumping would have made me take off the hood and that was not going to happen. Not planning to keep the fender anyway. Damaged wheel was replaced. Need to do a few more things this weekend and then its off to the shop for the control arm replacement. Just don't fe...

Re: Replaced heater core, now no heat
Yeah Rettax3 it sure is a mind bender when that happens. Not hard to figure it out, just more of a how did that happen. Mine started with a noise from the blower motor, then just as you said it smacked into the vent hard. Lucky for me it came out of the center vent will less speed. A chunk would be ...

Re: Replaced heater core, now no heat
So do you think cleaning the pivot points of the door(in the summer) will totally fix the problem? Or do you think that the blend door motor is a bit weak? As our cars have no cabin air filter there could be a lot of gunk in the pivot points. Hell one time a leaf came out of the dash vent. That was ...

Do you have a temp guage on your car? If you do and it's reading too high(or much higher than normal) then there is still air in the system.
The controls a powered by vacuum. Keep that in mind when trouble shooting.

Wow it's been a long time. Would be happy to have the dew strips. If they are still around. Damn busy doing other things and just now got back to the site. May take you up on the mirror Ken. Hate to say it but give me some time. Things are slowing down now that it's getting colder. Really need to ge...
