Re: NC road trip to pick up my pickup

https://i.imgur.com/wgNFlNR.jpg https://i.imgur.com/EwoPuJN.jpg The fair parking lot got a little nasty, so I had to pull my uncle out. Then a friend's father. Then some Jersey guy. Then a minivan! haha The minivan family gave my wife $100 for pulling them out. I didn't want to do it cause they cou...

Re: Repainting?

I did my whole Camaro with 80 on the DA after trying to do the roof with stripper. F that noise. It's a nasty mess and doesn't work worth a damn. The DA takes quite a while but it does a good job on the flat areas. Another option is to get it professionally blasted. I would have loved to use my dad'...

Re: Repainting?

If the paint is flaking, you have no choice but to remove it all.

Sucks the alignment shop didn't tell you the tie rod was bad. #cmonman

So is this update coming from a new garage mahal?

Re: 1993 Quad4 GTZ: Project WTF

That is strange. I use red on flywheel bolts. It's "permanent" but I've never had a problem getting them back out with just an impact (and no heat). My SBC had star lock washers on the flywheel bolts, but it was assembled by the previous owner. I don't know if they did stock. Either way I ...

Re: Repainting?

I blocked the stock paint and used Scotchbrite on the spots that aren't flat. But I'd recommend going to bare metal with epoxy primer as the foundation. That's what I did with my next car. Whatever you do, don't use cheap mail order paint. Mine looked great for a few years but didn't last. Had to re...

Re: Adding the overhead console?

Yeah, self dimming, temp and compass. Has no map lights, so that's why I added the console.

Agreed. The lack of traffic here kinda sucks, but it's also kinda great because it's a tighter group.

Re: Educate me on N20 kits

I would always go wet. Nitrous makes more power by supplying more oxygen, which will allow the burning of more fuel. A wet kit lets you match the nitrous/fuel ratio independent of the engine fueling. A fogger nozzle is the easiest solution for a Beretta. It's one nozzle that you plumb into the intak...

Re: Why Beretta?

My first car when I was 16 was a 5spd GTZ. I had a lot of fun beating the snot out of that car. I actually went to the lot to buy an 88 Monte SS, but it was the mechanic's new car and he was selling the Beretta. I loved the body style. I basically wore that car out and bought a 3100 Z26 for college....
