Re: Getrag shift cables

I know the shift arm is a square hole, I believe the select is too. I welded a nut on mine, but lathing a new pin/stud would make installation a lot faster and easier.

Re: Getrag shift cables

I just modified the trans end of my shift cable, but I think it would be easy enough to make it universal. Length variations would probably be more of a problem because the variation would be lb the center and not on the ends. I've got cut to length throttle and ebrake cables from Lokar that are nic...

Re: Finally...

Yeah, those main wiring bulkheads are such a piss poor design. Makes dash work such a pain in the ass because I got it all sealed up and decided not to separate the connectors. I like the battery relocation. I wanted to do something similar on the pass side bit decided not to cut it up when it was a...

Re: The Derretta, 1994 base with some attitude.

Eastwood has a "rust converter" or whatever that comes with a spray nozzle on a hose that you can spray inside. I used it on my camaro subframe after I blasted it.

Honestly you'd be better off cutting it out and replacing it though. Wouldn't be that hard to fab.

Re: Bfest 2018 Registration Open!

We still need a grumpy old man figure. I've never seen that quad either. Bring it to Carlisle next year for Bfest 2019. I think you'd have a good time drinking beer and shooting the crap at the campfire.

Re: Not your average Z26... a resurrection

Biggest thing that I discovered on thin stuff is more wire speed. I had a tendency to burn and that helped.

Those welds looked good one facebook, I wondered if that was you! Haha

Never heard about using a J axle beam. Sounds like a good solution.

Re: so.. I may get my old GTZ back

I don't think it would be overly difficult to do. You could swap the engine harness to v6, or possibly even just rewire the injectors and ignition, etc. I'm not sure what that would entail.

You and your mother fucking rubber under coating Shane.... haha For squeak reduction I'm going with the tried and true. Drilling out rivets and replacing with bolts and nuts, tightly zip tying anything hanging around, using pieces of 8.5x11 foam craft sheet as "gasketting" on areas that wi...

Del-a-lums...blah. I have my old set in a box of anybody wants them. Haha

My knuckles look like garbage after I just blasted and painted all the other stuff. I think they actually came off your pink car when you went with bigger brakes.

Re: Project 91 "SS" 3400/5spd

Guess I should update this. Made a lot of progress and fired it up today! But it's super rich so I gotta figure out a better base pulse constant for the 28lb-ers. What I have should be close to correct, but according to everything I've read, nobody really knows what the hell the injector math is for...

Sweet car. I remember looking at buying those in high school. What is it, 3100? Quad4?
