Is there a check engine light when running??? If there is, pulling the code(s) is a fantastic place to start and will usually direct you to the problem. I've never used anti-seize and never had a problem. And these engines WILL blow out a spark plug - been there, done that. I also never have torqued spark plugs but have rather followed installation instructions. I believe with the tapered plug it's seat the taper plus a 1/16th of a turn.

For sure changed the valve cover gaskets if they are leaking. The leaking gaskets are the #1 cause of engine fires on these engines.

Process of elimination basically. And the ECM will rarely throw a code for a faulty ECM (even though there is one). Best way to tell is if you have another to swap it with. I chased a timing issue and, through process of elimination, determined that the ECM was the culprit. Grab one out of the yard....
