Re: What fuel pumps have been used?

I used one from an LS1 Fbody. I got the complete bucket assembly with pump off ebay for like $35. The pump fits in our bucket, I think I had to do a minor modification and remove the rubber/foam or whatever it is around the pump (I assume its for noise dampening). So far no fuel delivery issues.

Re: Cooling fan suggestions

Not all the same. Quads have less room, fan is slimmer. As far as I know the quads never had the square style fan, only the round one pictured above. Even my '90 had the round one. Something must have got in the way of / hit the fan blades to have it shatter like that... Theres no way it could just ...

Re: Engine swap = quad4 to 3.1

First of all, swapping a 3.1 in is a total waste of time. That is a lateral move from the quad, some would argue backwards. If you are going to swap something in there, do a 3400. Tons of them out there, just as easy as a 3.1, and you can run it on a 3.1 ecm if you don't wanna tune. Yes all the moun...

Re: 1993 Quad4 GTZ: Project WTF

Also, make sure that you check your 086 head over really good for cracks.. at this point if I were you I'd take it in and have a machine shop look it over. And I would check to make sure the correct prom is installed in the ECM. Since you've found so many other incorrect items on the car - this coul...

I am in no way a quad 4 expert, but from what I remember, isn't the HO supposed to have 4 reliefs in each piston?

Re: Water Temperature... What is normal?

Every Beretta that I've ever owned always floated around the 1/4 mark. Fan would kick on at 3/4 like you say.

You could have a bit of a sticky thermostat, my cars never saw 3/4 unless they were sitting idling in the hot summer or something. Never driving.

Lol keep the 60. Re-order everything in 5x117.3

Was there even enough room to drill the wheels out to 5x4.75 without interfering with the center caps?

Re: Well here comes the "Build I Have Been Wanting For 20 Ye

The drive shaft driven alternator has been used for years on Street Rods and works just fine. Yeah, they work fine in a car that was made in the 30s, whose electrical demands consist of a starter and an maybe an AM radio! This is not a good idea on a car that is going to be computer controlled - ev...

Re: Well here comes the "Build I Have Been Wanting For 20 Ye

I tend to agree with Woody here, there is no need to make things more complicated than they need to be by deleting the acc drive. Plus having everything electric puts a large drain on the charging system - and if the alternator is run off the driveshaft that means its only charging if you are actual...

Re: Anyone using a performance rad?

I have a really good turbo blanket, and the up pipes are all wrapped in heat wrap.

I never did get around to doing the downpipe... one day.

Hood vents are an idea..

I think once I put the new rad in it will make a huge difference. I am already running a 160* stat, I just can't keep it at 160*.
