Re: The Derretta, 1994 base with some attitude.

Getting the truck lenses for like an 88 GMC truck from LMC trucks allows to use the factory bulbs so you don't have to mess with the wiring. Just a heads up! Explain this one to me... With the 90* bend on the back of the stock bulb I was unable to use those with my LMC lights... I had to use the st...

Nah not really, that's what happens when you buy closeout parts... Always a gamble.

Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: The Derretta, 1994 base with some attitude.

Are you positive the new ECM is good? Can't find any issues with the wiring? Jon mentioned on Facebook that it may be a corrupt tune file that's killing the ECM's, it makes sense. I put the tune in the new ECM, then can't connect anymore... I ordered another ECM, I should be seeing it in a week. I ...

Re: Front hub fail

That's how every rotor has rusted my entire life of working on daily driven vehicles, I feel like nothing has changed... Everything I have on my Beretta's have little to no rust on the rotors like that because they never see the sand and salt in winter, which that use has increased so actually that ...

Re: Front hub fail

I have yet to have any issues with the high end Centric, Power Stop, or Raybestos brand rotors.

Re: Front hub fail

It's funny when you question the ABS, there has been a lot of discussion about that lately on the forums and many of the non believers who made fun of me for sticking with it and keeping it are actually regretting removing it for the simple fact that now if and when they have to panic brake with the...

Re: Front hub fail

That's poor metal forming, it may be surface hardened only and the hardened part de-laminated from the rest of the metal. And yes brand still matters on quite a few things. Timken and MOOG seem to be higher quality than basics you can get on ebay.

Re: 1990 Yellow Indy

I'm drawing up the bushings so that they could be re-produced by just about anyone who has access to a machine shop. The upper mount is also VERY easy to re-produce... Not much to it honestly. Had a snow day so I did a bunch of work today... got the fittings all flared on the lines up front, as well...

Re: Front hub fail

Well what brand were they? but that does just look like cheap metal that was not properly hardened for a bearing race which results in it crumbling apart.

Or an entire car depending on the situation... LOL

Re: 1990 Yellow Indy

It's getting some love again, this time in the brake department... New 92+ front disc setup and the Neon rear disc, as well as swapping in a new brake booster and a 2000 Monte Carlo non ABS master cylinder. While I'm in there I'll also be installing the Del-A-Lum bushings I got for the front control...

Re: Wilwood fronts and Neon rear discs... Which master cylinder???

Everyone made fun of me when I kept saying keep the ABS, you'll want it with more braking power... now everyone is finding out why QUICKLY! ;) So just use 93 lumina master then since it should be abs equipped? Want to get this stuff ordered and ready soon Since the Willwood's don't have much piston ...

Re: Beretta.net Vinyl cutter!

I wish that's all I had to deal with... Sadly I get pulled into every corner where a PC is present... Setting up back end of MFG software, configuring system accounts, payroll crap, and the list goes on... If a PC is involved I'm apparently an expert on how it works.
