Re: what did you do to your ride today?

I made a 65mm throttle body gasket out of a sheet of universal Fel-Pro material. That's about it for today.

I've heard good things about DDM in the past from the truck guys. I see they have an H13 high/low option. I wonder how that works. Never seen an HID bulb that was high/low.

One of her LED headlights just crap the bed. Looking at the ones with the ribbon heat sink. Hoping for something with better forward light output. It seems to be brighter up close but not travel as far. I know HIDs would throw the light further, but they would be worse for incoming traffic.

I'm not a fan of it either. I understand the idea behind it and why out would be a good idea to use, but I've tried two brands and they both sucked as far as trying to get a nice weld. Always lots of splatter. (Eastwood and Napa)

Woo woo car is paid off completely. 49k on it. Just put some new plugs in it and cleaned the air filter. It has been stuttering up hills intermittently and apparently that comes from spark blowout when the gaps open up over time. Who knew? #boostrookie I see I'm only about 4 years behind in photos t...

Pretty sweet. You thinking adjustable heims for the sway bar links? I think we talked about this before. But the 5/8 ones I built were too big and needed misalignment spacers. I bought stock links and they are very light duty by comparison, so you can go smaller than 5/8 off that's your plan.

Those GTU spoilers are pretty cool. I've wondered about a wickerbill too. The Z spoilers are also flat enough on the back to use one. I kinda figured for my car out would look poser-ish. I think you can pull it off better. Haha

Re: Camaro paint job...after almost 10 years

Oh there's a lot of stuff yet to be torqued. Like basically everything. Haha Yes, SPi epoxy. I got the gray and the black. Had rave reviews on NastyZ, but I liked the Omni stuff we used on my dad's last project a lot better. Lays down with less peel and not as prone to pinholes. This car is getting ...

Re: Front hub fail

Pretty sweet that you have a mill in your shop. What else do you have? I can use the mill and lathe etc at my work which is sweet, but they had a ton more stuff 20yrs ago that they got rid of. I just got a pair of front Timken bearings that are made in China. I bought old stock ACDelcos for the rear...

Re: The Derretta, 1994 base with some attitude.

Rewritable chips are $5. Haha

What am I missing about poly bushings in a stock rear axle beam? Aren't they rubber?

I tried to use a ball joint press to remove mine but didn't have the perfect adapter for it. Thinking I'll need to pull the whole axle out and do it on a bench.
