Re: Project: Slideways z26

Nice...

I like the rack and tire machine - must be nice to not have to go to the tire shop for any work!

Re: Project: Slideways z26

About the only thing more rare then that 4.8 5 speed is a ZF behind a Duramax!

Cars are looking good - your 3500 is begging for an M90 to be sticking through the hood - Mad Max/McGavin style!

Re: obd 2 tuning devices

BS on EFI Live not supporting Boost.

EFI Live is widely used in the diesel community - especially on Duramax's and they push 35+ PSI.

Re: obd 2 tuning devices

HP Tuners should be able to program your 6 cylinder and LS/LT V8 trucks, RWD cars, etc.

I am not sure what there FWD tuning selection is like though.

The hand held tuners - SCT, Diablosport, etc - are usually one vehicle only and can't be used on multiple cars.

Re: Back after 10yrs

Ah cool - this is the first documentation that I have ever seen of someone replacing floor pans due to rust.

I've seen the rotten door jamb replaced - but nothing of this extend.

Keep up the good work!

Re: LS1/t56 swap

POR15 will be a pain to sand off - just get some self etching primer - that should seal it up.

Re: Back after 10yrs

I am very impressed that you created your own floor panels from scratch and welded them in.

It looks like you over lapped the pieces of sheet metal and welded them in.

DId you put seam sealer on both sides?

Re: (not a beretta, but)

Smaller pulley, headers, tune, etc - should make decent power.

Re: LS1/t56 swap

So the rectangular steel you have welded below the factory subframe is temporary? What is the C4/steering rack support brace going to get welded too? You going to tie into the unibody - or make some sort of removeable front subframe? Also - did you get that Nissan rear ended attached to the car yet?

V6 Pushrod Guide Plates

I have a set of new in box Pushrod Guides for a 2.8/3.1/3100/3400. These are no longer available from GM. Vintage Parts wants $20 a piece for these... I'll take $90 plus shipping for the set. I had bought these to use with the Crane Gold Race Roller rocker swap on a 3400. GM Part numbers are 1007897...
