Yep, sorry to confirm the Supercoupe of the late 80's to mid 90's(88-95?) was a 3.8 L S/C....never a 3.8L Turbo in any for. Turbocoupes were in the 80's, virtually identical to the engine in the SVO and XR4TI at 2.3L.

Eon a strut tower brace? It comes that way from GM, it was part of the packing material.
This true. Mine came like that from GM and took a couple of minutes worth of Cleaner Wax to make it right.

Its been done with much sucess on a 3400 swapped Z24 that broke into the 12's. The L and J are very similiar so it shows how it can be done.

For the lucky 92-93 3.1's, a complete TGP turbo setup is a direct bolt on. Find one in the junkyard and get everything you can. Thats what I have and included in the kit was every hose clamp and fitting including an extra new oil pan so I can have it fitted for the oil return line bung. Problem is...

The HP definately seemed right to me. I had estimated 260-275hp at the crank for the nearly identical setup. So like Rex said, if thats double the hp, double the TQ would be over 300 as well.
