Re: Look what I found!

Wow, that is a great find. I never even knew we made into anything back in '05, much less all the car awards and prizes beng covered. Very cool! You need to find a way to keep coming to BFest Eric! That would mean he would have to give up the GM Nationals... He's dead set on attending that every ye...

I had to split mine to drop in the limited slip, but that was so easy a caveman could do it.

That's a genius little trans stand. I like it. Would look better with a 282 on it though.

Re: Look what I found!

This is old from when "Domestic Driver" was just getting started. I contributed the Bfest article and did all the covers for DD for a few years. Excuse the radical design for that spread, I was fresh out of college and a little too into design... hahaha Here's a better cover! http://domest...

Re: NC road trip to pick up my pickup

Um, Skid plates are the best part of any off-road package. I would much rather be lifted up in the snow rather than have a log/rock put a hole in my dif!!! Agreed. I just thought it was ironic it was part of the off-road package that got me stuck off road. I took a look at the steering linkage toni...

Re: NC road trip to pick up my pickup

The plastic lower valence under the bumper had no problems, and that was really heavy snow. I'm pretty sure I figured out the main reason I got stuck, too. The Z71 skid plates for the radiator, front diff & transfer case acted like snowboards to glide the body right on top of the snow - off the ...

Re: NC road trip to pick up my pickup

Well I helped him put in the coilovers and they lifted the front a couple inches, and I also helped him put a 1" block on the leafs, which were supposed to be lift springs anyway. So I don't know how much taller than stock it is, but I do know it's a lot higher than my truck.

Re: Updated pics...

For some reason I thought you had 18s, not 17s. 225/45R17s are almost dead-nuts stock height.

Re: Updated pics...

That's a great pic, Cliff.

Barry I didnt realize you're running 225/45s on an 18" wheel. That means you're 1" taller than stock tire height, throwing your speedo off quite a bit.

Re: need help with beretta wheels

Tire size is what changes the speedo, not wheel size. 16" tire sizes that are correct for a Beretta are 205/55R16 and 225/50R16. 205 is the limit for a narrow Cavalier wheel, and 225 is about the limit for a 7" Beretta wheel (Z26, GTZ or GTU). I have even seen Subaru & Scion 17" w...

Re: I'm back

Very nice car. There has been some modifications to the car (tinted windows, blacked bowtie and filler panels), so I would either bet the Z26 decals have been removed, or the previous owner added the Z wheels and ground effects. It has Z seats, so I'd be pretty sure the Z26 decals were just removed....

Re: Beretta Font

It is not an actual "Beretta font", but it is close. I'm sure someone renamed a similar font to "Beretta" and then posted it many moons ago. Here is a link to the real Beretta logotype. http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/search/123124219/47869.html" onclick="window.open(th...

Re: January 2010 Project Begins (Raspberry)

Yes, there are definitely server problems here.

Motor is looking good and I like the stock gaskets you modified. If/when I pull the headers on mine next I'll do the same.

I have a spare Barbie sticker I can send if you want it.
