Re: NC road trip to pick up my pickup
Great vid, looks like a blast. I love the dog, and I love that your wife can drive a manual. Did you see the wiener dog in the muddy mirror in the video? haha Her car is stick, too. We're 4/4 on clutch pedals. 6/6 if you count the last 2 we sold. haha Ha ha yep watched it again to see the wiener dog!

Re: what did you do to your ride today?
Yes, I am Leary of people on CL. I've posted that we meet at the police station and if they want the car, we go right over to the currency exchange and they get the paperwork started. I've pulled the post because of the brake-line. When I sold my daughter's car, a black guy bought it. He came to my...

Re: what did you do to your ride today?
I posted the running driving 96 For sale on Craigslist for $700 after fixing the frame support and control arm. I told people it's getting rusty and who knows how long it will last. I got 10 responses from people who seem very interested. I began to wonder if the scammers have a new trick up there ...

Re: Am I blue? No, the new car is though...
Coming from low end GM cars its got to have some truth. Best of luck and have fun. You're saying Beretta's are low end? I'm offended! Lol @rettax3 that's a cool car, you know I have a soft spot for roadsters since you saw the pics I posted of my MGB project. German cars kind of scare me due to the ...

I've been using the fluid film as well, but not long enough to provide any success story. Worth a shot in the rust belt, we need any help we can get.

Congrats on the baby, still finding time to mess around with cars and trucks in true gearhead fashion. The truck looks awesome. Nice how clean it is underneath.
I see the Mullet Camaro on the trailer, I thought it was at the paint shop?

Re: Back to Berettas after 15+ years
Thank you, 1st time for paint/body for me as well. Lots of metal replaced on the car as well, but it's not Beretta related so I post a lot about it on mgexp.com
The storage shed booth sounds like a good plan. You have way too many projects going on to get in to that though! Lol

Re: Back to Berettas after 15+ years
I haven't done much with the Beretta other than maintain it and drive it, it's up to 169k and still running great. It's got a sound in the front end that I thought was a wheel bearing, but I'm starting to think it's one of the summitomo tires I put in. Disappointing, but you get what you pay for. I ...

Re: Back to Berettas after 15+ years
Not big on Vue's, but can't beat paying next to nothing, haha. They like to eat suspension components, so make sure it's solid! Sent from my VS501 using Tapatalk Totally missed this post. Yeah the Vue is a total soccer mom ride but it's actually pretty darn fast with the 3.6 high feature V6. I paid...

Re: what did you do to your ride today?
Drove it to work! We got our first snowfall earlier in the week, 1/2" but they put down enough salt for 2 feet. So the car was sitting.
The roads are dry now though, so I take advantage of it. The Beretta is so much more fun to me than newer DD's.

Re: what did you do to your ride today?
Got the idle issue straightened-out over the weekend, learned a thing or two I should have already known. The 'spare' TPS I had was from a TBI unit, from a slightly earlier V-8 car, BUT it turns out that while the housing, plug, and angle for said plug is a perfect match to the LQ1, it rotates in t...

Re: what did you do to your ride today?
Maybe the junkyard lady is lookin for some lovin...haha IIRC Geoff used new truck sealed beams from LMC, but the housings wouldn't work for a Beretta. I've been working on the Cruze. Replaced the rusty exhaust and removed all the aero underneath and liberally sprayed it all with Fluid Film. The stu...

Re: Z71 project 2.0 - 92 from Cali
Dig it!! No rust is key. Everything else can be fixed. Makes me miss mine that's for sure. It's amazing how the sun out west roaches the interior, I've never been to the west coast. I don't like the new trucks (or anything for that matter) personally. Too much sh#t to break, and they just feel like ...

Re: Back to Berettas after 15+ years
Finally the weather is improving, and I had a few bucks to get a battery. The one that came with the car was dated '13 and it just wouldn't hold a charge. picked up a die hard on Saturday and back on the road running great! Hoping to put some miles on the car this week as long as the weather stays d...
