Re: Radiator for a 89 with a 3400

That extra hole was blocked off in the '91 radiator I bought years ago.

Re: 2 potential LS swaps

I don't think I've ever seen a Bonneville of that vintage. Way back when I did have an 83? Regal which had those power rear vent windows you are referring to. I doubt the LS would add much weight to the MK3, in fact it might be LESS weight if you go with an alloy block. The F-Body LT1 was very simil...

Not bad. This would've been before I got my Torsen which I purchased 9/13/05 so yeah, it's been a while.

Re: LS1/t56 swap

Do you happen to know the roll center for the stock suspension? I'd bet there's a world of difference.

Re: Which LSD?

I don't think EP can do anything with your differential. When I sent him my original 89 one he wouldn't do it because it was the older, weaker design.

Re: Which LSD?

The only other option is finding a second-hand Torsen which is nearly impossible.

Re: My 1989 Chevrolet Beretta GTU

The differential in the 87-89 transmissions is supposedly a weak point. The pinion shaft is definitely smaller than the newer ones.

This has been my experience on multiple occasions with my various 2.8s.

Re: Indy/GTU Centercaps

Z04 isn't really directly relating to the appearance package alone. It's a model conversion RPO, similar many other "Z" codes whether they're badged as such or not.

One of my coworkers order a driveshaft for his old Firebird from Denny's Driveshafts and was very satisfied with the price and quality.

Agreed that this happened over time. All of my failures were usually from a shock load and the joint failed. The only time I had a shaft issue is when one wasn't assembled right.

Re: 03 Buick Century 3100 for parts-St. Louis

The large-port intake manifold would be a good upgrade for someone with a stock 3100.
