Re: New to me 95 Beretta GT

Oooo, yummy Z seats! Nice. My '89 GTU has the "Deluxe" interior -but Z seats didn't come out until the next year, so they are like the '95 Base (except full tilt options on both fronts and a split rear, which some base-style interiors didn't have). They are fine unless I've been sitting i...

Re: My Berettas and Stuff :)

Nice! When you see the nice, clean expansion-tank sitting in there, then look over at the old yellowed brittle piece that came out... Yeah, it looks so much nicer in the bay. :good: Thanks :) Yah, looks much nicer. The factory tank was actually a nice used replacement I had put in years ago because...

Re: Beretta GT into a Beretta GUTZ INDY

I can see why they changed them.
The GTU style looks like its prone to cracking in the front piece on each side.

Re: My Berettas and Stuff :)

New Coolant tank. Factory tank got brittle, had hairline fractures around the 2 upper ports, one just started leaking a few days ago.
Came with a new coolant level sensor too.

Re: basic tranformation of base

Not mine, but this guy has a mint set of Indy/GTU rims with center caps. https://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/pts/d/chevrolet-beretta-gtu-indy-16/6696759691.html That is the best I could find online for Mint Indy/GTU wheels, I'd buy them for myself but I already own a spare brand new set of Indy rims ...

Re: Beretta GT into a Beretta GUTZ INDY

Yes. 90-91 had the FE7 brackets, 92+ was the strut tab. I have the brackets on mine as well. I think the end links are also different length. I never knew U and Indy skirts were different. Do you have pics to show it? I think the bracket design is better, this way its separate from the strut, more ...

It's exactly the same.
Slanted the same as well? fits flush with the exterior?

If that is true, then the only difference is it fits 5 bulbs instead of 4 in the same exterior size.

Re: Beretta GT into a Beretta GUTZ INDY

My 17,000 mile Indy I don't know as I never had to take it apart in there. That is strange to me. I've never seen it that way before. Two other 1990 Indy's I've owned were never like that, they both had this: (This is one of the two spares I have). Did GM change it at some point? 20180922_105537.jpg...

Re: Beretta GT into a Beretta GUTZ INDY

An Indy already has the GTU body kit with the Z style spoiler and seats. I don't think you can mix more than that without mismatching body panels... Well, ish. Technically, the Indy sideskirts are different than the GTUs' but it is a very subtle difference. The GTUs' spoilers are the only 'unique' ...

Re: Back to Berettas after 15+ years

What part of the country are you in? I do have a great shifting non-slipping TH125C (aka 3T40) in my '90 Yellow Indy -I want to 5-speed swap that car and just need the pedal set at this point, and the TH won't have a home after that (I have a few new CV joints for it too that came with the car)... ...

Rear Shock Bracket / Mount Lower

If anyone is in need of these brackets for a 1996 Beretta. (Possibly 94-96? I do not know when GM started this change). I found an option that may work, it fits the 86-04 Mustang, appears to be a 99% match however I have not tried these myself: https://lmr.com/item/LRS-9998915K/Mustang-Rear-Shock-Br...

Re: My Berettas and Stuff :)

I finally found the proper shocks. KYB brand. And According to the auto store they were the lase 2 available from the warehouse. Everything else showed out of stock at all the auto stores. The only other Option was the monroe shocks which said they included the bracket but did not in the 2 boxes I t...

Re: From backyard to Berettafest

That is a nice looking Beretta -I like it! Nice color, and the Z wheels really set it off nicely. What muffler did you go with? You said straight-pipe, but I can see a can hiding back there, unless you removed that later? Just my opinion on this one, coupled with a few facts -all the engines pollut...

Re: My Berettas and Stuff :)

Doing more preventative maintenance on the 96, Decided I want new rear shocks on it. I thought this would be a quick job, I was wrong. Car is stuck in the air until I can locate the proper rear shocks for a 1996 Beretta. The shocks are easy to find. The lower mounting bracket is hard to find. A lot ...

Re: Back to Berettas after 15+ years

I put a SK125 Transgo kit in the 3t40, well, just because. Aaand I won't like it and I will want a 5 speed. Yep, time for that 5-speed swap! Glad the car got you home, sometimes I think we forget how important that is... Awfully kind of our Berettas to remind us of that once in a while. :D Y...
