Re: Corsica misfiring after rain
Yeah, lets see. I think I am also gonna fire up each injector straightly from battery to see how they spread fuel and do they leak after spray has ended...

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain
Yeah took the upper intake apart today. No big deal, took like 2 hours while doing it carefully (first time for me with this engine). Didnt have to touch alternator. Took out EGR, tbi body and cable bracket, map and air intake box of course. Already removed four bolts holding the rail, and also remo...

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain
Starting to suspect my injectors. There is always pressure (=starts well, havent measured pressure) on cold start, which basically rules out fpr. I think im gonna take upper intake apart soon. To test if injectors leak, can i just raise fuel line with injectors from engine and put power on to check ...

Re: Ignition switch/starter not engaging/intermittent charging
This junction is at least in 3.1 -93 Corsica near ICM module, below the front exhaust manifold. Take look between engine and battery, near air intake box.
Dont know if beretta has different wiring, but I suppose you got same engine and year model so...

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain
I agree it's too cold to be working on cars in this weather. Need a heated garage. I'm interested to know how the leak is. I know a water leak in this weather causes the floor to become blocks of ice in these cars. It's getting just as bad around here, well for Beretta's that is. Lucky to see just ...

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain
The crank sensor was just a thought. Oh man the torque that they have is nice, sure miss that low end power now that I have the 3100. Did you locate the test lead? Re: Corsica misfiring after rain
The test lead is on the driver's side. Close to where the main wiring harness goes in the firewall. It's easy to find, looks like a connector with no home(no others near it). Just throwing this out there: could the crank sensor have anything to do with the long starts? For the old 3.1 it is best to...

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain
Yeah its 3.1 multifail. :) Somewhere I read there would be test lead somewhere near firewall to run fuelpump? Gotta take look to the relays, though those seem to work just well. What kind of operation is it to take upper intake off? In case I need to mess with regulator. At least not job to do at wi...

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain
Yeah I think gotta buy that tester. One thing not going to my mind is that sometimes it starts well when warm... and most times it doesnt. Also last summer when I cleaned the iac hard starting went away for 2 weeks. And it came back right after I did idle relearn. That is something I dont understand...

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain
Aigth, gotta take look to the dash lights again... didnt know this car knows whether I plug seatbelt or not heh. https://youtu.be/uG5yP7M5Ttc Heres video from today. As you see, when i let the car sit for more than few secs it wont fire up well. If i fire up right after turning the key off, no probl...

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain
Yeah the idle is much smoother and works right now. Havent made any fuel pressure tests, I guess thats the next phase... I just need to buy a gauge for it. I guess I am gonna drive at least next summer with it like this, dont have time atm to start measuring pressures since the cat is running great ...

Re: Corsica misfiring after rain
Damn. Switched IAC from the spare / project Corsica I bought. Still experiencing hard starts every now and then. FPR vacuum line is dry. I put the new IAC in today. 7/10 starts were normal. 3 were long and required extended cranking. 2 of these long starts came when I was doing idle relearn procedur...

Re: brakes and abs light
Instead of scanning I took ohm-meter and check resistance of sensors. Dunno if aldl/obd1 can show abc codes?
Someone has wiring pinout? I have the pinout but cant post it atm.
