Re: Project 91 "SS" 3400/5spd

I still don't have the Camaro done yet and I've been stockpiling parts for a Beretta I don't own yet. haha I'm picking it up the end of this month, but there are some updates on my youtube. I'll start a new build thread when the new Z26 is in my possession. Still looking like I can have it done for...

Re: Back to Berettas after 15+ years

Finally have finished the resto on my MG, so the Beretta gets to share the garage with it! The Beretta is still running great, just oil changes. The only thing I've done lately is the lower dog bone. It had a crappy Anchor one I had put on when I first bought it. It had about an inch of play in it, ...

Bittersweet after all you've been through with that car. But with that stack of cash, it's more sweet than bitter!

Re: Project 91 "SS" 3400/5spd

That 6.0 was nasty, no wonder it was dead! I can see why the lifters were a challenge to get apart. The stiffer springs sound good in theory and it's hard to beat free.

Re: Mini Van from hell

The way the newer ones like mine work is there's an upstream and a downstream O2. The upstream fluctuates 0 to 1V as we are used to with our old cars. The downstream is supposed to stay steady, around .5-.7 bolts. This is how the computer "verifies" the cat. If the downstream is fluctuatin...

Re: Back to Berettas after 15+ years

I wish I had exciting things going on with my Beretta like many of you do, but nope, just driving it back and forth to work. 174k and she's running great. The ol 3T40 is still hanging in there. I was worried about it after we took it to Myrtle a couple years ago, I just let it warm up a bit before I...

Re: Mini Van from hell

I'm a few months late to the party, but interesting story. FWIW in my opinion I have an '05 and an '09 GM, and the nineties stuff is WAY better. The '09 has a bad cat as a matter of fact. And with those you have a constant check engine light unless you replace it, $500 part. So newer isn't always be...

Re: 1996 Mr.Pink

Wow those look awesome, and I'll bet it's a world of improvement. Like you stated, a lot of fitting, but pretty slick how the hats are interchangeable. I had never messed with aftermarket brakes so that's news to me.

Re: Project 91 "SS" 3400/5spd

Damn, that was shaping up to be a good pass, 14.0 isn't too bad for a hurt motor. Good luck Oct 25th and it's great to see a young gearhead in the making!

Re: 1996 Mr.Pink

Yeah there is a MG Midget in the garage, that's my wife's. Her father restored it for her graduation present back in 1999... It's a fun little driver. The Forester is also her's. Don't listen to the head gasket complainers because every car will have a flaw like that. Both of my Subies we got and s...

Re: 1996 Mr.Pink

Well Pinky looks good, starting a handyman business with the trailer?

I'm pretty sure I see an MG Midget in the garage, I'm doing a nut 'n bolt on an MGB.

The Fozzy looks cool too, I've always wanted a sube but the head gasket complainers have scared me off.
