Re: Intermediate shaft/jack-shaft
That aluminum housed one also uses a weak aluminum bracket to attach to the block. I have fount many of them are cracked. Yes there is a bare shaft with a stamped steel bracket. I have found this on both berettas and j-bodies. It is better than the aluminum housing one but not as nice as that cast b...

Re: LS1/t56 swap
I am considering a wilwood or similar pedal box for mine. I moved the pedals over to clear the tunnel but I dont like them still. And my t5 isnt even as big as your t56.

Re: Anyone have ideas on fitting wide wheels????
For what its worth I just put some wheels on my brothers cavalier. I feel that the fender spacing is pretty similar. He does have coilovers however. The wheels are 17x9 enkei rpf1 45mm offset with a 15mm spacer up front and a 25mm spacer in the back. Making the wheels 30 offset up front and 20 offse...

Re: Project: Slideways z26
Well updates are a little lacking for the last (few?) years. However, good news is I just got a 2 car garage so I can finally give the beretta some attention again! Between building other cars for myself and friends I have been super busy. Bmw's trucks s2000's 240s rx7s miatas, it never stops. Hopef...

Great stuff. Stopping by for some motivation for my poor beretta. That front suspension setup is so serious!

Re: Beretta Z28
Good luck! This project is very doable if you have the know how and time. Its going to be a challenge to stuff a 90* v8 in a beretta and retain power brakes and other things. I have a 60* v6 longitudinal in mine and space is already tight. I had to build a remote booster setup and lost my wiper moto...

Re: Automatic to 5 speed
Heavywoody made the original guide. I used it 5 or 6 years ago when I did my 5-speed swap.
Biggest challenge for 94-95 is ECU. But there may be solutions to that now

I am sorry that happened to you. There were over 5000 spam posts waiting for approval at one point. We are human and make mistakes. When staring at the screen disapproving hundreds of posts in a day its easy for a real user like you to get caught in the mess.

Re: 3500 swap question
When I bought my 3500 it came with a bracket there for a different trans. I was able to cut it off where it bolts to the block, then cut the trans bracket for your 4l60 so it mates up to it, then weld them together. Add a gusset if you like. I did it with my manual but it's the same concept. You rea...

Re: Washed out feeling!
Check the inner tie rod bushings. GM used a really crappy design for these. They get soft easily and really kill the steering feel.

Re: Project: Slideways z26
I drive a truck and my bike as a dd. local law enforcement has decided that I shouldn't have a rwd car on the streets anymore. I can't control the urges to slide.
So 200hp 4500lb truck for me it is. At least it hauls more tires.

I'll never abandon this project. It's just so hard to balance my projects. My bimmer is a track car now too. I'm building a cage for it along with a turbo kit and other drifting modifications.
