Oh well... got the ICM swapped in and also new sparkplugs. It ran fine when i started it... let it idle some and took it for a testdrive. Seemed to be fine and fixed my problem. I threw the plug away and forgot to take a picture... also i sprayed some water as good as i could to see if anything happend but it didnt... anyway, i had some stress to get the new daily driver on the road so i drove the beretta until last week. Now the beretta is parked and waiting for the new IC...

I didnt check the ICM, dont have the tools for doing this and i dont know if shops here can test them... i live in Austria, Europe so i dont expect much for these shops... they are only good to get car parts but mostly just for european cars. This thing is making me crazy... i replaced all 3 coil-packs today and started it up and noticed it runs just fine now and idles so much smoother. I thought "YES! now i can pass emission test next week". Well... after some miles of driving home from garage i noticed it runs just like befor...

Yeah, the fun part is that the rubber hose from the emission tester was melted together after they did the test, lol. Thats why i was wondered why the exhaust gets so hot... never happend that to me before. Going to check the O2 too... i repleced this one 2 years ago but i think i have a spare one i...

I checked the IAC and swapped it out two times with different ones but i still hear that ticking sound when i hit the throttle pretty fast. I checked all sparkplugs... they were a bit black but didnt looked that bad... i am sure it runs on all cylinders but i noticed that my exhaust is getting prett...

Well he said it fits 88 to 91 5spd cars since his car was a 5spd too. I dont even knew where to order these... lol. I remember looking for one some years ago at jbodyperformance but looks like they sell the other style mount and not the one i have.

Okay, well my beretta is a 91 GT 5spd. Hope my mount will fit... got it from someone who bought the mount but havent even started with the swap and sold the beretta.

No i never had a corsica.. always beretta :) I already got a 3400 swap mount like the one rettax3 posted but no 3400 engine yet, lol. not that easy to find just the engine here in europe... pretty much looks like i have to buy a donor car with a 3400 like from a Alero or so. http://www.beretta.net/f...

Thats pretty interesting about the gearing... also i didnt knew Opel build this tranny in germany, lol.
Oh and these trannies are pretty cheap here... i have no idea how much they cost in the US but here they go for about $300-$400 on ebay.
