Re: getrag input shaft bearing/sleeve

i have to put output shaft seals in my trans, is it possible to change the cv shaft bearings without removing the trany and taking it apart ? i know the seals are pretty simple to do, just not sure if its worth it to throw in some new bearings while im in there.

Re: Throttle Body?

on the older 3.1 you can buy an aftermarket one from somewhere thats larger but very costly.. like $350 or something crazy like that. maybe its WOT-tech i custom done mine, i ported it out with my dremel and custom fitted a ground down 3400 throttle plate into it. I was going to do more experimentin...

Re: Serious Problem! Need expert advice!

My 88 ran great and one morning it just wouldnt fire at all. turned out it was the crank sensor. when i tryed to pull it out it just broke off, so i ended up dropping the oil pan to push it out from the inside. it has a 1 piece rubber oil pan gasket so you should be safe to drop the pan if needed an...

Re: Digital Gauge Cluster!!!

it was listed for like $40 a while ago its been on there for months, i did email them one time about it to see if they had the wire harness too. i was thinking about picking it up just to have it laying around but its a few hour drive from me and not really worth it unless they would ship it to me, ...

Re: 77 z28 scoop molded to my indy

can you post some current pictures of it and some of under the hood. i assume you had to cut the hood out some where the scoop dips down ? Im going to trim the over hang off the back, its maybe 3/4 inch i think that has to come off and it should still lay down perfect, i still have to look it over s...

Re: Current mods happening to my 88 base.

ok i wasnt sure about the flex agent. so if i wanted to paint it with spray cans i can have the automotive mix me up and make the colour i want in a can but its $25 a can. that way i could paint it at home rather then coming home at 7 pm and driving an hour to my dads shop and painting it with a gun...

Re: How hard is the 5 speed swap?

when i swapped my 88 2.0 L automatic to a 5 speed. i had a 91 cavy donor car, all the engine mounts and trany mounts bolted right up, i think the only mount i had to swap was the front lower dog bone, i used cv shafts from the cavy as well. i used the cavy clutch cables and shifter. but you do need ...
