Re: 1994 3500 6 Speed ZR6

Regarding tuning... I take no offense because it's very hard to tune through the net and not be hands on with the car... never mind not building it so you honestly don't know what your starting with. It's easy for me to work with Tyler because I know how that is put together... BUT having Milzy do ...

Re: 1994 3500 6 Speed ZR6

You must have super powers or something. Everything works out for you Lol. James used your pics for reference and did what you said. It probably just comes down to being my luck. Its not the worst thing in the world compared to what all I have dealt with owning this car. It will get figured out and ...

Re: 1994 3500 6 Speed ZR6

I feel like I wasted my time and parts having James cut the pump bucket. Now I have to get one from a junkyard Ugh.

Re: 1994 3500 6 Speed ZR6

I paid $265 for both of my axles to be made/rebuilt... He's VERY reasonable. And I'm very baffled that both of you have fuel delivery issues yet my setup was quite reliable and the only concern I had was the exposure of the pump when the tank was low and that resulting in excess heat and short life...

Re: 1994 3500 6 Speed ZR6

Bad news is upon installing the passenger side axle seems the axle itself is a little short. While tightening down the axle nut it looked as if it were pulling the axle back a bit off the jackshaft. I will probably get a new axle made this winter. Shoot CVSource and email or Call him... They made m...

Re: 1994 3500 6 Speed ZR6

I have always had issues with my fuel pump and tank setup, first I tried to run the walbro 255 in the stock bucket in an aftermarket tank, that was a bad idea, I realized enough fuel could not get into the bucket so I drop the tank again, i then cut the bucket and still had leaning issues at wide o...

Re: 1994 3500 6 Speed ZR6

That's nuts but then again the pump was changed on the side of the road so something may be a miss in there emphasizing that issue. My bucket was cut open and I could run it down to an 1/8th with no issues... I also have a stock tank with stock baffles. The pump itself was changed in a parking lot ...

Re: 1994 3500 6 Speed ZR6

The 06 trans is getting shipped out on Monday or Tuesday. I havent decided if I will keep it or try to sell it to Milzys for what I got in it just to get my money back. Either way I am keeping the brand new jackshaft and selling the G6 axles. The major issue with the car right now is the tune needs ...

Re: 1994 3500 6 Speed ZR6

Now here is the odd thing. This is regarding the whole gearing between the 06 and 07 F40 trans.. EVERYTHING I have said about what RPMS I was at on the highway is wrong. I bought a new scanner for the obd port since my old one quit working for some reason. Now I can see what my RPMs are really at. T...

Re: 1994 3500 6 Speed ZR6

Havent updated this thread with detail for a bit so here we go... Got the new (used) jackshaft and put the axle back in on the passenger side. Now that the jackshaft has the clip in it the axle finally snaps onto how it needs to be. Bad news is upon installing the passenger side axle seems the axle ...

Re: The trip into the "big leagues" ..running and driving!

Thanks for the info! Plan is to find out if I can swap 06 gearing into my 07 trans or if just getting a 06 trans is the better route. Right now the car is on jackstands in the garage. Haven't really had much motivation to mess with it. We pulled the passenger axle and intermediate shaft out because ...

Re: 1996 Mr.Pink

What really is "the big leagues"? Maybe it just requires spending entirely too much money (way more than I ever will) on your car, I thought having a unique build would be the ticket guess not lol.

Anyways, car is looking good Jon. Should be an entirely different beast with the full 3500.
