Re: Budget LS swap 6spd RWD Z26 project.
Placeholder for next video that publishes while I'm in Hawaii. 8) Sway bars are done and they're pretty mint. Front is a free 33mm Blazer bar from the Z69 that's hooked to the strut via a Dodge Ram end link to the old FWD steering arm. That means it's direct-acting like an FE7 Beretta bar, but...

Re: Budget LS swap 6spd RWD Z26 project.
(Completed this before Carlisle) Another revision to the steering done and this time it's perfect! Clean sheeted the design rather than trying to modify those '48 Ford arms. Did the math to determine for sure that I needed like 31% more steering angle on the inside wheel for the Ackerman to be corre...

Re: Budget LS swap 6spd RWD Z26 project.
Most people figured it out. I did have a couple that said "I always assumed these were FWD" haha Yeah, I'll definitely be road tripping it soon, but I just didn't have enough trust in it, and I would have never heard the end of it from Tiffany if I got the family stranded. lol. Still worki...

Re: Anyone know what these go for ?
Well said. My 90 GTZ also had the leather wrapped wheel, but all 91+ did not.
I've got my eye open for a deal on another Lumina Z34 wheel but they have certainly climbed in price since I bought the last one...

Re: Ship car by train between VA and FL
That's pretty cheap! It cost me $2k to get a truck shipped from Reno to NY and it was a weeks/months long nightmare. Jeff floated the idea of a dual-location Bfest a couple years ago. I thought it was an interesting idea. Meet up at location A and do the first couple days there, then have a big cara...

Re: Budget LS swap 6spd RWD Z26 project.
I got the Carlisle video done. I took 4th place out of 4 cars in my class at the show (guess people don't like half-finished interiors and chipping paint). And I took 2nd out of 3 (2 running) at the donut/burnout contest. But nothing broke so I'm calling that a win. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4...

Lot of thrashing to get it ready for Carlisle. It's a handful doing donuts!

Re: Interior Sound damping
Excellent testing. Now when you do this with the floors and rear package tray you'll be more impressed.
I just finished up the last of my SecondSkin Damplifier the rear firewall/package tray. I'll check out soundproofingmlv as I need to reorder. So good timing on your test! Haha

HOLY HELL!! Nice job Woody!!! :Bravo:  Well duh. Where have you been? :D  Exhaust video is up. https://youtu.be/7gUHzuSZFoQ Also put tags on it and drove the first street miles. It looks absolutely amazing this low, but I dunno if it's gonna live in NY this way. haha Exhaust scrapes on ...

Re: Budget LS swap 6spd RWD Z26 project.
Got the tunnel video done. Got it basically built at my house and took it back to the lift for final finishing and seam sealing. It all fits pretty well. Gonna look damn near factory with carpet! https://i.imgur.com/sjSCIzI.jpg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-GXMyhoxL0 https://i.imgur.com/1i8rVOY....

Re: Need some suspension help
Yes the 94+ style strut assemblies bolt right in. Ran my 91 like that for a dozen years. The early FE7 cars 90-91 actually have a bracket that bolts to the knuckle for the end link. It was just the 92-93 with welded strut tab. That's how I ran my last car. https://i.imgur.com/VThlYqy.jpg https://i.i...

Re: Silverado build 3.0...or should I say 8.1
Haven't done any modifications to the truck for quite a while until February. Then I did some body mods to the bumper, cab & box... Insurance is being a total nightmare too, wanting to total it, so I'm in the process of fighting that. I did fix the bumper so now it's looking reasonable again...b...

88-94 are the same and 95-96 are the same. I typically use rockauto to cross reference stuff. IIRC, the factory rate was around 150lbs

Started the tunnel today, what a nightmare. Doesn't look beautiful...but it'll be covered by carpet and a console! haha

Re: Interior Sound damping
Ok, I found the page where I attacked rattles and sound deadening. There was more than I remembered. Think of how fast it would have been without this stuff! haha https://www.beretta.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3868&start=1410 I found some rivets in the door brackets etc that had loosened up, so I...
