Re: Project 91 "SS" 3400/5spd

So I drove it around everywhere today and got some datalogging done and sent the info to superdave. Took it to the grocery store a couple hours later and it stalled in the middle of the road on the way home. So I pushed it into a nearby parking lot and hitched a ride to grab my laptop and check the ...

Re: Project 91 "SS" 3400/5spd

that indeed does look bitchin'! Did you cut those from adhesive vinyl? and did you put anything over them to cover them up? Yup. With the old caps that came with the wheels I was going to encapsulate the vinyl with a polyurethane dome like the name badges we make at work, but these new caps wouldnt...

Re: B'Fest NE (Or whatever it gets called)

What track in central PA, Reading?

Lots of guys will bitch about the longer drive I'm sure.

I still like the idea of Syracuse. Esta Drags is a great facility.

Re: Well... its time to retire

that pulsating is from warped rotors. nothing to do with the stock braking system. Rotors warp easily when they are undersized... they dont warp as easily as they do on a beretta but they end up warping. the GA should have gotten the 12" to begin with. Ok, so that is exactly the opposite of wh...

Re: Project 91 "SS" 3400/5spd

Gave up on the center caps that came with the wheels. Two of them were really bad with peeling chrome and I couldnt save em. Took some measurements and found some that would work for $27 shipped. They're Mustang caps though! So I cut bowties for them and had to modify them slightly to work. Some qui...

Re: best way to apply decals

Small decals like the Z26 ones I always do dry. Make sure the area is super clean, lay it down (be careful to position it correctly) and flatten it out good with a credit card. Start at one end and flatten to the other. Then just peel the backer. Done in less than 30 seconds. Bigger decals need the ...

Re: Well... its time to retire

Yes, if you set it up right manual is fine. That's what I have on my Camaro. But I see too many guys just ditch the booster slap the master on the firewall. You need to go with a smaller bore master and change your pedal ratio too.

Re: Project 91 "SS" 3400/5spd

Euro headlights really make a Beretta look even more like a 3rd-gen.

My two aren't that far apart in age...but they are completely different animals which is kinda nice actually. V8/V6, RWD/FWD, carb/EFI, a-arms/struts, coils/leafs...and let's not forget huge aftermarket/no aftermarket. haha

Re: Project 91 "SS" 3400/5spd

In '90 when the GTZ front end was new, it looks a lot like a '90 Camaro. Mine look nothing alike, but the basic body style of mine was designed for 1970, not 88. haha

Re: Well... its time to retire

And no the F-body stuff wont go back on the Pink car. Its coming off because its not needed. you should relay that to all the people i see with completely stock GA's with a shitty cold air and maybe a cat back that feel they need the bigger brakes. Well... GA's are heavier and that hurts braking. W...

I'll bet what you have is closer to this than you realize. Not only is that jamb sheetmetal screwed, but probably the hidden structure underneath it too. Keep in mind these pics were shot after I whacked it with a screwdriver & hammer and pushed through all the weak stuff. http://media.motortopi...
