seam sealer would work ok as well, i think urethane would bond better though since its purpose is to hold and seal your windshield in, have you ever tryed to cut out a windshield its a real bugger LOL. seam sealer might dry out over time and crack i dont know though. either would work.

this is a weird situation, do a compression test on all cylinders. and check there there is no vacuum leaks anywhere, if it has a major vacuum leak somewhere that might cause it not to run, or super high idle or something abnormal.
