Yup. Look at my signature...
It's getting all the problems with it fixed up and then a near 300hp motor that's sitting in my basement... (3400/3500, headers, cam, high compression, port work etc).

Re: January 2010 Project Begins (Raspberry)
Yeah the high RPM plus the 240 dur and 568 lift with a stretched chain would be a combination of extremes to cause the interference. I hope the valves are ok. In my mind I can picture them bending and messing up the seats, the valve guides getting messed up, rockers ripping threads out of the heads,...

Re: It all goes downhill at once!
There is just one spot on the under side of the drivers side rocker that is starting to rust through. Door jambs though on both side are bubbled up pretty bad. Spring perches in the rear are shot, so bad there are holes and it's paper thin. Only thing holding springs there is the square frame rail, ...

I can't believe the rear sprint mounts are solid. That was the first to go, rockers last on my car.

Re: 5-Speed Shift Cables.
Yeah I googled and couldn't find crap but for automatic stuff. Keep us posted Barry. Prices, and what they are etc. Stock drop in? or ?? How come the select one doesn't wear out, it's shorter throw but feels like a lot more tension on the cable.. Is it just cause the select gets "rammed" h...

Re: 5-Speed Shift Cables.
Woody get on it! I don't have any cables period.. LOL Well I have some busted stock ones welded up to crap, but that doesn't help us. hell even ones that have a nut so you can bolt them down like the picture above, and heim joints would be awesome, even if it wasn't a direct drop in, as long as they...

Re: 5-Speed Shift Cables.
Oh, you meant just the ends. I was referring to a whole new cable... Those cables above are on a GT50 or GT3 Porsche transmission in a kit car.

Re: January 2010 Project Begins (Raspberry)
My 3500 plenum gets the same temp as my 3100 did. You can put your hand on it in summer after driving. now shut off the car or let it sit idle and yes it gets too hot to hold your hand on.

Re: January 2010 Project Begins (Raspberry)
Whoa, they are? I didn't know that. I just knew they were durable and what they are made of. Yes custom would be best for pistons, as you could not only run the CR you want, but you can have good quench as well. Yeah, it's cool though you are being a guinea pig in a way and finding out the results o...

Re: 1990 Beretta GT 3.1 auto PARTS CAR
87-91 would have a dogbone/torque strut only on the drivers side subframe that attaches to the trans. 92-93 would have dogbone on the passenger side attached to the motor. 94-96 same as 92-93 but takes the newer style control arms. My orange car has 92-93 subframes, but I will put a 87-91 drivers si...
