Re: Getrag shift cables
Rodney,
There is a small aluminum bracket which bolts to the transmission that holds the cables in place. Here are some pictures of one on the transmission and off the transmission. I could easily send one to you if you'd like for the reproduction.

Re: Echoes71
I don't think I know who Jeff was by name. Perhaps I'd recognize the car(s) or a picture of him if he was on the Facebook groups. But I am sorry to hear that he has passed away. We've had a few in the Beretta family over the years who have gone while still young, and it's always a sad thing.

Re: Getrag shift cables
Rodney, Here is a picture of the pin on the transmission side. These appear to be the same from 91-96 for the "small" cable ends. The "large" cable ends use the same style, it's just a larger diameter where the cable connects (but it has the square bottom with threads just like t...

Re: Getrag shift cables
Rodney, The shift cables in the Beretta's went through quite a few changes from 87-96. Depending on year, and engine, they had a different configuration of ends. Here are a few "facts" that I can speak for from my experience: 87-89 cars appeared to use just about the same cables, no matter...

Re: Would like to own a Beretta again.
There is a 93 Quasar Quad GTZ in Alamosa, CO for about $2500. Mechanically sound, no rust, strait body, but needs paint (peeling and flaking badly). If you are interested, PM me and I'll put you in touch with the owner.

Re: Spoiler For Sale - Northwest Arkansas
Just as an FYI, the Beretta community is small enough now that "Pickup Only" isn't really a thing anymore. Spoilers are easily shipped for between $50-80 - you can get boxes for them at local body shops or dealerships for free (just get a larger box, like for a fender, and cut it down to s...

Re: How to Begin Restoration??
As someone who is currently doing restorations on two Beretta's, I can tell you that your budget for body work and paint is VERY low if you are looking for something that will last. The "cheap" restoration I'm doing for my 96, I've got about $5500 into right now. That includes buying 2 ber...

Re: Ignition switch/starter not engaging/intermittent charging
Well, you've listed several symptoms. Nothing really explains them ALL except for corrosion on the battery posts - I'd make sure to remove both and make sure it's extra clean, and also make sure there isn't corrosion inside the cable head (we have a rubber protector over it and it often gets buildup...

Re: Join Beretta fest
Aric,
Keep an eye on the forums - we'll open Berettafest Registration somewhere around mid-Feb or early March. Once it's open, you can register to attend the event, and will be given the hotel information and schedule for where and when we'll be there. Look forward to meeting you!

It's a very nice car. I actually thought it was sold already to another member, but apparently not. Pricing seems to have gone up as well
