Heater core
yes you can bypass it. go to autozone, advanced auto, napa, or similar parts store and get a U shaped heater core hose that is the same size as the heater core hose on your car i forget the size its like 5/8 or 1/2 or something. (take one off to match it or measure the piping) and a couple of hose c...

What oil filter do you use?
i've found they dont stick that far down, and they arent longer than the oil pan, so i'll stick with more filtering capabilities... Also did you know using syntethic oil can give you a slight horsepower increase??? Less friction = more horses... That is another reason why I love the 3400's... rol...

I would probably say ignition module then. If its not getting spark. If no fuel try testing the fuel pump relay.

Car died while on the highway
The oring that seals it gets hard and it sticks. Also I would like to add that it is a magnet. and it will stick to the crankshaft. so odds are you will end up breaking it. what i had to do after i broke it was, the part that gets stuck in there had to be pushed into the block, the engine has to be ...

Leaking oil
it has been a while since i did mine, and when i did it the engine was out of the car. so the ac compressor was not attached.
at first i forgot to say to take the starter out too.
its no big deal, just unbolt the compressor (2 bolts i think) and put it to the side. dont disconnect the ac lines.

Car died while on the highway
i think its the same on all the 60deg v6's, like in the middle of the engine block on the firewall side, closer to the passenger end. you will probably not be able to see it. just put your arm back there and feel around the engine block, maybe a mirror will help. its a pretty small sensor and the tr...

I am still looking for a 3100/3400 with no oil leaks.... When changing the oil pan gasket, hmm - first remove starter, you need to lower the subframe on the passenger side, take out the bolts holding the oil pan on, the 10mms, there are more on the sides of the pan that hold the crank shield. they a...

3.4 twin cam 5spd
Quote (TurboGTU @ Mar. 15 2003,15:26)Yes the trans can bolt up , you need everything from that trans/car though(flywheel, pressureplate, disk, fork, cables ect..). Yes the 3.4 can fit ,but know that the 3400 is a FWD and the 3.4 is RWD. I think to make the 3.4 FWD you will need to tap and thread in new...
