I have always found that the direct acting bar makes the steering feel much better, probably due to it mounting to the strut which rotates, unlike the control arm. The factory one for the TGP is fairly unobtainable if it has ABS. I'm sure someone has converted it to vacuum boost and no ABS.

Example Early avalanche's can be equipped with a set of round and a set of square coils, not both under the same hood. If equipped with squares, you can swap to round, but all eight must be changed over. Same logic for the other way. The round and square coils mount differently (different bracket) ...

96 should be 14mm, all the other years are 16mm.

They're all plastic. The Z04 and base ones are different but they fit the same.

Yes, it's a riveted tag identical the one visible through the windshield. The VIN isn't stamped directly into the metal anywhere as far as I know.

It should be riveted under the carpeting near the door opening on the drivers side, as well as on the labels on the drivers door and spare tire cover.

Good idea swapping those brakes. Are you swapping the fronts to the 98-02 as well? The 93-97 brakes are pretty horrible.

Yes, the Z height is the relationship between the bottom of the suspension rail to the bottom of the ball joint. The spec has the bottom of the ball joint higher than the suspension rail for FE7.
