Re: 1993 Corsica ABS bleeding?

"The idea of comparing the paint sprayer to pulling air through the threads and expelling it with fluid is erroneous though" Perhaps, it is, just a theory. I have a pressure tank bleeder that I use at 10 psi. I often wonder if the fluid moves too slow to force the air out. I imagine a bubb...

Re: 1993 Corsica ABS bleeding?

My theory how the air enters the bleeders is similar to how moving air picks up paint in a paint sprayer. The vacuum created by the moving air sucks up paint and creates a mist of air and paint. Now the bleeder is a hole that is plugged by the tip of the bleeder which has an angle on it. When you un...

Re: 1993 Corsica ABS bleeding?

I have seen air getting sucked into the threads on the bleeders too. At both the master and the wheels. But you might have air in the MC now. If you don't have a MC bleeder kit, get one and make sure it has the fittings to fit your brake line output fittings. They say it's best to bench bleed the ma...

try pc74 for small bulbs and pc168 for larger bulbs. I don't have a digital dash so this is a guess.

You must be both ambitious as well as patient. What a challenging project to take on.
It looks like you did a great job on it. Getting all that to fit and inter-cooled as well!

Re: Just put in new fuel injectors

Code 12 is the normal code, meaning your engine is not running. You must wait for a code to flash three times before it will move on to the next code. If you only have code 12, there should be no light because of that. So you must have another code stored. In diagnostic mode, it will flash once, the...

Re: Just put in new fuel injectors

I doubt that little piece would stop the engine from starting.
You probably disconnected something by accident or coincidentally,
the engine control module died. 6 month old gas should not be a problem
either.

Re: what did you do to your ride today?

The 88 always seem to have a slightly soft brake pedal. I replaced the master cylinder and bench bleed it but it still seems like I could never lock up the brakes. So I bench bleed again after getting a better bleed kit. After, I took the car out and stood on the brake pedal at a stop sign. It felt ...

Re: Hard to start after fuel injector replacement and other running issues

Gosh, you are having so much trouble with that car. I hope you get it sorted out. But you are learning stuff that may be useful your whole life. As far as cleaning injectors. They don't come apart. I think the only way to clean them is a machine which would pump some chemicals through to remove depo...

Here is a link to another forum that has a list of ratios and stall speeds for various models. It only goes up to 1988 but I hope you find it useful.

Re: TH125C Ratio differences?

From what I remember, when I was looking to replace the th125 in my mini van, there are differences in both the final axle ratio as well as the stall speed of the torque convertor. The junkyard had to look up and cross reference a trans that might work for my mini van. I wound up just rebuilding min...

Re: Harder to start after injector and O2 replacement

My two cents. Ox sensor comes into play after engine warms up so, cold slow start cannot be attributed to that. Since injectors were changed and the then problem started, the injectors or something you did changing them is suspect. You could try and put some gas in the throttle body. If it fires rig...
