Re: Berettafest 2009 - Dyno Day morning

I'll go ahead and jump in here... lets hope we get it halfway decently tuned on Wednesday. We can start with my file spark wise and see how your car responds... And then tweak the MAF and VE tables if you want, to get your trims under control. I'm curious to see what your currently running at. Also...

Re: our beretta eats mustangs for breakfast

Well you have to pick who you toy around with, some GT's will eat you alive, others yeah you could probably give them a run for their money. I just saw a new Charger on the highway Sunday night that had a number in its window from running, and the dial in was 13.94, so I was like wow I could hold wi...

Re: which struts should I put on?

KYB is meant to be paired with a lowering spring, they are a tighter valved strut so yes they ride rougher, and that's typical with any lowered car... loose travel you need to stiffen it up.

Re: what sway bar is better?

Seeing as how MRZ doesn't offer SWAY BARS, I'm pretty sure he's talking about STRUT TOWER BARS. Sheesh Jon, learn to read :x To actually ANSWER the OP's question, it's up to you. They perform roughly the same, but I doubt anyone has done any subjective testing with actual numbers to prove anything....

Re: z26 trim

Its all 3M double sided foam tape... I used a body filler spreader to get under it and pull it up on one edge then just pulled it off. It left a big strip of foam and adhesive so I used 3M general purpose adhesive remove and it got it all off without damaging the paint. They are not held on by bolts...

Re: what sway bar is better?

If you can get endlinks and decent struts to pair up with it, KYB's dont have the tab.

I'll stick with my 30mm and 1" rear :)

Re: Heater Core Replacement

If you have to do the evaporator core keep on going. Ok there are 3 or 4 screws for the evaporator core. There are two right above where the heater core just came out. There is one in the middle of the pipes that come out of the core. Now that plastic mixing piece should drop right down. Here is a p...

Re: Major Coolant Leak Underneath Car (w/ pics)

Take the two lines that are going in to the firewall, remove them from where they are connected to and hook them together with what NewNann described.

There was a heater core write up somewhere... I'll see if I can find it and bring it back to life.

Re: Sunroof Question

Best way to install a factory sunroof is to pull all glass, and then remove the eintre roof by drilling out the spot welds and transfering that roof to your car. I've seen in done before but he was a body guy, so the end result was seam less, and amazing in my mind that he would go that far for a su...

Best front swaybar, is a 30mm beretta Z26, or GT bar. Thats as big as they come. Addco is the same size.

Re: Major Coolant Leak Underneath Car (w/ pics)

Your heater core blew out and thats the internal core box drain, it prevents the coolant from dumping in your car on the passenger floor.

Replace your heater core and you'll be good to go.
