Due to the recent surge of people posting a link to it I felt it was important to post this as an announcement and sticky.

There is to be NO linking to the "new bstuff" on this forum until I get word from Mike directly.

He owns the rights to the name and could sue if he chose to.

I REPEAT NO ONE IS TO POST A LINK TO IT, EITHER DIRECTLY, OR AS A SIG


To clarify, since some people seem to think they are lawyers, Mike owns the rights to the bstuff name, which was in the name of the site that was linked, and was how the site was being marketed.

The bottom line is that you don't go to McDonalds and pass out fliers for Burger King, it's in bad taste, and after the reception I got over at bstuff for offering to host the site, that is what the posting amounts to. That is all that I ever offered, there was speculative talk about possibly merging the boards, or archiving bstuff if it was acquired, which was largely done by the community.

It seems like this is the inevitable big crash that had been waiting in the wings.

Good riddance as far as I am concerned. Let the mature members migrate here, and then the others can default to a defacto B__uff wannabe.

I'm not surprised Bstuff went down in flames, it was inevitable.

and it should stay that way. seems like the people who liked to raise hell on bstuff were the ones that didn't like it over here.

FWIW i started out over here and then discovered bstuff one day.

It was not designed to be one, it was a matter of intellectual property rights that my business is directly involved with. The whole issue was with the way the other forum was being pushed and advertised as the "new bstuff"

oh i can tell that it was about legal issues that may possibly arise. Totally understand. It just turned around a tad bit.

Only because people let it turn around. This topic would have never been started if they didn't try to use this board as a big advertisement.

I can say for now lets just drop this and leave it be. There are some who will just never feel comfortable on this site and I have no idea why... But thats for them to know and me to not care about. As I said to Roln, There are two sites, there will always be two sites... Just like how we still look to elephants and donkeys...
