Auto Shifter Knob?

Auto Shifter Knob?
Was wondering how to take the old shifter knob that is on my 94 and replace it with something else. Is there a trick to it or does it require taking out the consule. My retta is a 94' 3.1 V6/ auto.

theres a clip in the front of it that you have to pry out...looks like a big staple

yeah you might also have to apply a lil more than normal upward pulling force to take it off after that. i had a hell of a time getting mine off.
