I'm Completely Lost With These Paint Codes...
I'm Completely Lost With These Paint Codes...
So i'm thinking of buying some touch up paint for my black 91' Beretta but there are 3 different black paint codes to choose from:
1) WA8555
2) 8555
or...
3) 41
Is there some kind of sticker on my car that has my specific code? I'm lost.

Look on your spare tire cover in the trunk (if you still have it). The paint code for your car should be listed on it.
There are two blacks; a metallic black and a regular black, just FYI (depends on the model year, but I'm fairly certain the 91+ were regular black).

Re: I'm Completely Lost With These Paint Codes...
Your paint code should be in your VIN. It is the 14th and 15th #'s.
For example the 14th and 15th #'s in my VIN are 81, and that paint code is Flame Red CC.
On the homepage of the site there is information on this, here's the link.
http://www.beretta.net/?page_id=90
They're all listed there by year, so just go to 1991, look at the paint codes for the blacks that year, and compare them to the 14th and 15th #'s in your VIN.
If I'm wrong on the paint code being in the VIN, someone please correct me, but it is in mine, so I'd assume it's in all of em'.

Correction: The last 6 digits (#12-#17 are the production sequence number. All you have is a coincidence!2.2H8TA wrote:Your paint code should be in your VIN. It is the 14th and 15th #'s.

Your paint code is WA8555 or 41U (RPO version). If you follow what heavywoody said and look at the sticker, the color will be listed on there as 41U along with a few dozen other RPO codes.Lockerz wrote:So i'm thinking of buying some touch up paint for my black 91' Beretta but there are 3 different black paint codes to choose from:

Here's an example of the sticker, (from my own car).

The Plot Thickens...
Well, I found it but this is not my VIN. I don't even think this was part of a Beretta at any time since it starts 1G2 and if it were a Beretta it would start 1G1, unless I am mistaken. So, is there anywhere else it might be?

That's definitely not your car; that's an N body (4th character over). Grand Am/Achieva/Skylark/Malibu/Alero.

Re: I'm Completely Lost With These Paint Codes...
Ha, figures, lol. Lots of people (including myself) have replaced the spare tire cover in the trunk, because they tend to warp badly if they ever get wet. I replaced mine with an un-warped one that wasn't moldy, which is the reason that my RPO sticker is cut out in my pic above. You don't have to keep looking, I told you what your paint code was in my last post.Lockerz wrote:Well, I found it but this is not my VIN.
