Filling unibody cavities with structural foam

Here are some links to the process that I've found. A few key notes...it is messy, so be careful...and use only the correct kind of foam, not some cheap spray can stuff. The automotive grade foam is catalyzed.

I'm going to show this to the guys at Smith's but I'm not sure my car is coming quite that far apart.

That said there is ALOT of structural stuff they do to these cars.

He is also having to soften up some of his build specs because it will be a street driven car and I need my back teeth.

Well, if it was gonna get a cage then the interior is coming out. And the motor will be out. What else needs to come off, the fenders? haha

You have a good point Woody. I'm going to bring it up.

This thing will basically be a shell with nice paint and YES the doors are coming off.

So is the entire interior and the dash. Windshield, rear window, name it!

This is a WAY bigger project than I first envisioned!!

Taking out Windshield, rear window, quarter windows on a "freshly" painted car sounds like headache to me. Very hard to do without paint damage, even if its on non-visible spots, there is that danger of possible future rust. Yes im alergic to it.
