I can't lock up the tires or engage the ABS on my car even when running 185mm wide tires unless it's snowing. WTF? Do stock brakes really lock up the wheels? Or are B-Fast's tires just super hard or something?

It all stems from the tire, Yeah suspension will help a little by lessening some weight transfer, but in the end if the tires slip that easily then there is something wrong with them.

You can lock easily with stock brakes and quality pads. My brothers bereta has crap pepboy pads and you can only lock them under like 15 mph.

I have locked mine at 60 before, maybe even quicker. But only all 4 lock in the rain, I could really use more rear bias.

Well i have new roaters and pads need to do the back breaks really bad i have new tires but they need rotated and balanced. Now for suspension I have eiback springs and stock struts. I dont have ABS dose it really help I don't really know much about it.

Yes... ABS (Anti-lock brake system). Kinda in the name :).

Is the neon brake upgrade really that much of a benefit? Obviously I want it because disks looks much cooler... But if you have your drums adjusted the stopping distance shouldn't be all that much different?

I can't remember right and don't have the right book with me... But calipers require more pressure than wheel cylinders right?

Could you do the Srt-4 set up..or is it even different?

Its the same with thicker rotors and *possibly* different pads or rotors. A simple part number search will tell. Not much performance gain between the 2, just less tendency to warp and they will take a little longer to heat up.

I'll be surprised if we could even overwhelm these rotors enough to overheat... or at least on my setup with the 11" fronts the rears probably are not stressed.

Yeah I still question the bias put out by my stock M/C.

im goin with the lebaron set up, since the backing plate and caliper bracket are one piece, instead of having one made for the car.

i have a full rear setup i pulled from a 2000 300M and they look like it could be made to fit, they have anti lock and where the censor sits is a hump in the backing plate might make it a tad harder to machine for the wheel bearing/hub to fit into..

So why neon brakes ? is the bolt pattern the same as the beretta 5x100 ?
1 problem i see with the 300M brakes is they might be a different bolt pattern and the 300M has 17 inch rims factory, might be not fit a 15" rim over the brakes.

You use your factory beretta bearing, but yes the Neon is a 5x100 pattern so the rotor fits fine. Also this is the closest thing to bolt on with almost all stock parts and very little modification needed to make it fit, and wear parts are avilable over the counter.

Ask the J-body guys really... I found this on their website and went with it. It had the two things I wanted... a 10" rear disc, with a DRUM parking brake.

The 300m is a 5x115 or 114.5mm pattern... Not 5x100mm.

Explain your last statment... I had nothing "made" for the car... Only the bracket machined out to fit the bearing. The rest is all factory parts.

No they are not... they are two pieces...

Without backing plate installed.
