Child Safety Seat Anchor point...

Post by Chris88CL »

Hey guys/girls,
My 96 Z26 came with the child safety seat anchor in the glovebox, so I'd like to get it installed. Unfortunately I dont know where the damn thing goes. Im 99% sure I remember seeing them in the rear deck by the 6x9's, but there's tons of holes in there so I need to know where exactly the anchor goes.

Does anyone have one installed in their rear deck? Can you take a picture from the underside inside the trunk and from inside the vehicle? Installation should be as easy as drilling a single hole through the deck carpeting. I just need to know WHERE.

Thanks in advance.

I thought there was a little plastic plug that popped out where the top tether was installed.

Get a look at the bottom side of the deck visible from inside the trunk.

I have looked at it. Theres about a million different holes in the bottom of the deck. I didnt see a plastic plug, but I'll check again.

I've never seen one either. Have you actually seen one installed in a Beretta before? I wouldn't think the deck would be very structurally sound.

Up and down its weak. But pulling forward I'd think it would be plenty strong when sandwiched between the anchor itself.
