Anyone know what this is?  The inside is blackwith a carbon deposit. ÂÂÂ

egr valve if it's not workin take it off clean it and the three holes and check to see if the LIM is plugged


foot in the floor mpg about 8

Yea so why are you taking it off?

And I see your missing a rear valve cover hose going to the intake.

I took it off to get at the temp sensor... well at least to attempt to get at the temp sensor.  Was just trying to clear some room to get a better line of sight.

The hose is sitting on top of the intake, you can see it in the further out picture.
