1990 3.1 versus 1992 3.1

Post by Juro »

How big of a difference exists between a Beretta 1990 3.1 and a 1992 3.1?

They are "close" to the same, however the engine mount system and engine cooling system is different, so the blocks will have some different threaded holes in them. If you are looked to put a 92 engine in a 90 car, it should be no problem as long as you have all of the accessories / parts for the 90 car.

As said above, nothing. The years you want to stay away from which the beretta didn't get are the 88-89 3.1MPFI. Those blocks had issues in addition to having slightly less power.

That would be the 2.8 for those years.
