I need help with this HUGE mod!

Post by jackattack193 »

Really, I just need to figure out a way to add a cup holder to a pre 91 car! I don't want to drill any holes. I know this is odd, but I wanted to do something that doesn't look cheap - almost like it was supposed to be there. I just haven't come up with anything worth actually doing, so I thought I'd get some different brain cells involved here to assist me since I got nothing.

I thought about attempting to add the 91+ in dash cup holders - not even sure if that's possible or worth it to do though...

Many Thanks

I've seen that done, looked tacky. I guess your choices are universal junk from AutoZone or digging up something at junkyard

The so-called cup holder on the '91+ console is not all that useful, but better than nothing I guess.

Well the search continues I guess. If I come up with something worth sharing I'll post it.

I did the 91+ console in my old GTU I had, looked ok but it will overhang in the front on both sides, from what I remember the 91+ cars have ducting or something running to the rear that the pre-91s do not have. It will look odd if you do not swap the carpet as well or figure something out.

I'm with you on that. I eliminated the idea of putting the 91+ console in after I re-did my car. The 91+ has an angle at the front that wouldn't look pleasing to me with the pre 91 dash/radio. I'm picky what can I say?
