60* Double Roller Timing Chain Group Buy
Link to thread
Clearanced Crank, Print on TCE's website to give to any machine shop. It was a freebie for Roberts engine and doesn't take long to do so they shouldn't charge much.
Clearanced Timing cover, Depth gauge comes with kit so you know how much needs to be removed.
Modifications necessary to crank to clear

here is how Marc(TCE/ British car conversions) wants things done.if you want to be added to the list, PM me/reply here"I want to have at least 75% paid before starting production to cover many of the expenses so I am not out of pocket too much. I do not want to hold peoples money while trying to get enough people together. It's up to you but here's what I am thinking.
During the initial sign up, buyers pay 25% to show that they are truly interested
After the designated number of buyers has been reached, they pay another 50% to you
All money would be refundable until this point should not enough people sign up or too many back out
Once all the money is collected, you send the funds to me and I will get started on making the TC sets"

Re: 60* Double Roller Timing Chain Group Buy
Longevity, no more loose stock chain, Timing change capabilities, holds up better with large cams or just heavy springs. Bottom line a roller chain is less wear on parts vs. the rocker joint type chain we have in the motor. Wouldn’t recommend it for just a stock engine, but anything that may have a cam and or heavier than stock springs, it's a wise investment.
Re: 60* Double Roller Timing Chain Group Buy
X2. If you have plans for a "built" engine I'd highly recommend joining the group buy and getting one now. Chances are we won't have this opportunity again. Aftermarket Cam/springs, higher rpms, and higher hp/torque puts additional stress on the timing chain. If timing chain breaks, you will grenade your engine. It's not a cheap upgrade, but peace of mind is priceless.3X00-Modified wrote:Longevity, no more loose stock chain, Timing change capabilities, holds up better with large cams or just heavy springs. Re: 60* Double Roller Timing Chain Group Buy
3.1 turbo you can just use the double roller they sell for the 2.8 camaro engine... its the 3x00 motors that don't have an option.
Re: 60* Double Roller Timing Chain Group Buy
Did you want 2 heavy or just the one? There is one more person considering it if we get to 20. If you decide that you want a second (for backup or to sale in a year) then we'd only be 1 away from 20.
What about Barry or Woody? Surprised that neither have spoken up.

Re: 60* Double Roller Timing Chain Group Buy
Yes for the 15qty group buy. I don't think we'll hit 20.
$217 due friday, Or at least as soon as we know where we are sending it. Direct to TCE or to the Group buy starter.
