Re: Part out - 89 GT
The car does have the chrome door handles that you speak of.

If they're in good shape I'm interested!heavywoody wrote:The car does have the chrome door handles that you speak of.

!@$%! I should have seen this earlier... SGR, do you still have any interest in a 3T40? I would willingly part with the one from my '90 Yellow Indy (about 151k miles, DD and runs great, TCC works like it should (well, okay, like the factory thinks it should). I also have the rebuilt one from my '89 GTU -that car had I think ~164k or 168k when I pulled it for the five-speed swap I did with the 3800, before the F40 went in, but it has a GM Service Rebuilt Transmission Assembly tag on it -mileage from rebuild unknown, but it operated flawlessly before being pulled some years ago. I also have a couple of good sets of half-shafts, and a set of rebuilt CVs that can go with... I just think shipping would be prohibitively expensive, obviously freight... Well, consider this a free 'bump' if nothing else... Heavy, I can't believe you parted a clean sunroof GT with a good title... [sigh] but you can't save them all, I guess. Darn, I even liked the color.SuzukiGhostRider wrote:I could use a known good 3t40 trans. Willing to ship it and is it good?

Re: Part out - 89 GT
The car had wiring gremlins and no one wanted it as a whole so it's either junk the whole thing or part it...
Re: Part out - 89 GT
Ahh, okay, that makes sense. Electrical can be very tricky, and scares a lot of people off. That mileage would scare a lot of people too, I guess. Oh well. At least some of the parts were saved.
