How sure are you about that? :)

with 3500 heads you have to run the 3500 LIM right?

I dunno... I was told ported 3400s are supposed to be better than 3500 with boost. (But things may have changed in the past 2 years). Also with using the 3500 lim I have to deal with changes with cooling hoses routing...

All you have to do is drill out the 3500 temp sensor hole and make it the proper thread for the 3400 3 pin sensor. OR you just use the stock 3500 2 pin one there, and then add the pre 96 factory 1 wire sensor down in the back of the block in the coolant drain port.

There are multiple ways to fix it, other than that there are NO other coolant routing changes.

And who told you ported 3400's were better for boost? 3500's outflow a ported set of 3400's to begin with... Just imagine what you can do with a ported set of 3500 parts.

I think he is confused and is referring to upper intake manifolds only. I seem to remember this floating around.. that 3400 uppers flow more than a 3500 upper. Who knows if thats really true though.

3400 upper stock yes flows more than a 3500 stock upper, but once ported the 3500 outflows the 3400 again. I remember that being on 60*

The compression drop with boost is probably a good thing too.
