Clear side-markers wanted, pair or set.

Like the title says, anyone looking to get rid of a pair (or even a set) of clear side-markers? I don't really want to pay the e-bay price right now, so if someone has some they don't like any more, even a cracked set (not pulverized, though, okay?) would be fine. My GTU has been waiting for the custom "3800" set I've been working on for a couple of years now, and I can never seem to get them right... So I'm giving up for the moment, but clear markers would look much nicer than amber on the front of my white GTU...

I would assume a $5 flat-rate box would suffice for shipping, so please include that cost and handling expenses if replying.

Thanks.

:good: Thanks, that sounds like what I am looking for. Even rough could be fine, they would match the rest of my car! :D

I'm not looking for free ones, but I am looking for cheaper than e-bay. It boils down to I have a stock set I can use, but don't want to, and I think I want a custom set that has a 3800 emblem set onto the lens, but I just don't have the time to work on it right now. It is sort of a good-money-after-bad scenario, where I don't want to throw $30 onto the car for what hopefully is just temporary, but I also don't want to go back to stock when I've already waited so long driving the car around without front side-markers, it feels like defeat.  So, someone's old, faded, possibly scuffed or even cracked pair would be perfect, as the car isn't really pretty (needs paint worse and worse every day I'm afraid, not to mention the split chin-spoiler) at the moment anyway.

Besides, I would rather support the community than ebay if it came down to it, not that I have anything serious against ebay, but I don't have a huge love for them either. I'll probably look on Amazon too, they are hit-and-miss for pricing and selection as compared to ebay.

The other aspect to the ebay thing is when I get my Z-26 back (it is looking more like a when than if at this point, though not completely for certain yet), I would like a new set of four clear sides and front signal lenses, and notice none of the current ebay listings have four sides AND the two front park lenses, so if I can get a pair of them now, if they are nice enough, I can re-use them later on that car, and even if they are a bit rough I could use them and just smoke-tint them lightly if they aren't too bad....

We don't have one of those "popcorn" ('I'm watching with anticipation') emoticons, or I would use that here! I'll say :Bravo: instead... :D

I'm not in any super rush either, I still have to get a new-style brake caliper ordered for the car (and rotor too I guess, as they are different part #s) since I am swapping-in a later-style spindle to use the ABS sensor as a VSS, so I can keep my speedometer calibration unit for the '90 Turbo with the Z-24 five-speed...

if you want to experiment a bit too, an old friend of mine made his own clear markers with the fluorescent lighting diffuser cut to shape.

That is what I started out with on mine, too, but I didn't like how it turned out at first (cheap diffuser). In fact I have some big pieces of a better-quality diffuser that are ear-marked to make tail-light lenses on the '89 RS Camaro, once it gets repainted to white. It looks good. But then, I got carried away (like I often do), and the next thing I knew, I had a freshly re-painted cool-white light housing with white strip-light LEDs, and white epoxy holding on a clear lens, then I started trying to affix a 3800 Tuned Port emblem on it, but needed to replace the "Tuned Port" decal in the emblem with a white-on-red "Super Charged" decal, well, the car hasn't had front side-markers for a couple of years now, so I want something just to screw in place for the time being.

There are many different patterns for those fluorescent diffusers too, so there are different options for different styling preferences. Thanks for the input. :good:

No problem, if they aren't salvageable I'll just keep looking. If they are broken but complete, I would still be interested as a stop-gap though... Didn't find any clear ones on Amazon, but amber ones are available for $5.59, free shipping (conditionally) for anyone interested in those...

I have a pair I just took off my car. They are like new because they were only on a month or so before I locked up the trans and it sat for 2 years. I don't remember what I paid...$20 sound fair?
