this is just massive.  It explains everything.

For wire gauge calculations, read the section WIRE [sections separated on the RH side of the page] .

In there, for example, charts take your numbers to calculate wire sizes.

VERY USEFUL, and I keep learning more every time I visit, and just can't remove it from my bookmarks.

I've been preaching that site on bstuff for that past couple years... people still can't seem to figure out that everything they need to know really is on there.
