GAUGING INTEREST IN FLUSH MOUNT RADIO KIT 91-96

Postby DanteGTZ » Sat Aug 23, 2014 7:01 pm

As many of you know, last year I coordinated the Eibach spring group buy -- I'm interested in doing another one this year - This time for the flush mount radio kits for the 1991-1996 cars!

As some of you know, we used to be able to get these through MRZ. MRZ does not sell these kits anymore and has no plans to make any more. Therefore, I've been searching around to find other options. I'm currently talking to a vendor that makes these kits for other cars to see if they would do the same for us.

So here's where you come in - I need input from you - If I can get these flush mount kits made (with Beretta logo!), would you be a buyer? MRZ's kits were around ~$65 IIRC, and I would expect these to be in the same ball park.

So there it is - Let me know - I don't mind to put in the leg work, but I need to here from you first!

I actually picked up a Metra kit for mine, it's flush mount, and they set you back about $10 - $15. If you like I can dig up the part number too, I know I have it in my binder of receipts!

It's Metra part number 99-3200.
It's just ABS plastic but it works just fine and is only about $15.

A fancy aluminum one may have some interest but a simple one is available.

Every image of that Metra one you guys are talking about is not flush mount... it sticks out about 1/2-1"...

I'd be interested in one. I have a MRZ one but change never hurts. :)

I would be in for 2 if this Metra part number is the one that sticks out all far.

Oh I like that...

This is how the Metra kit sits for reference also.
