removing a cd without power

Post by themadness »

is there any way to get a cd out of a jvc deck with out power? i really dont want to pull all the stuff to get the cd out.

i put the factory unit back in and forgot to take a cd out.

heres one for ya too. whoever installed the deck half assed it for real. the back speakers werent even playing which i didnt notice until the factory unit was in. and they broke to side pieces of the bracket to get it to fit. the factory stuff sounds way better! except of course the speakers are almost shot at higher volumes

an excuse for new speakers :Yahoo!:

Just hook up 12V to the old unit on the battery and negative connections. Hit the eject button. Problem solved. (or just wire the red and yellow to the positive the black to the negative, the unit should power up, then eject)

Old battery or a 12V adapter should do this fine. If you use an adapter, make sure it can deliver at least 1 amp or more.

Use some alligator clips or something to clip onto the connector ends. You did keep the radio harness for your radio right?
