Last race today for this 3500

Post by Asylum »

Today was the last time my blue '92 will race in competition.

Ran like crap anyway, (14.30's) but the Points Series are over, and except for a couple of exhibition Sport Compact Events, it's done. Maybe Albany. I still haven't decided which car to take.

I had a really horrible year to be honest.

Ended up 4th in the points, and really struggled with getting the damn thing to run consistently, AND feel comfortable on the tree.

Just too many changes to get used to week to week.

So enough excuses. I had alot of fun, made money when all the dust settles, but not much in bragging rights.

And now my Blue GT is retired!

I'm going to spend alot of time at the Nostalgia Super Stock Events in the North East with the Barracuda in 2009.

It's been a blast with the 3500, and more of that to come with the new GTZ, but racing a Beretta is likely done for me now.

Im glad you had fun!! bummer it was the last race for the 3500... i wish you were closer.. i would so buy that car if i could.. hahah

i ended up 2nd in my class... was 1st in point but the final race i slide to 2nd by ONE round!

I ran bracket nationals saturday.. the big wally race of the season in one of the big boy classes and made it to semi's... again.. ONE round away from my first wally!!! took out a lot of heavy hitters, some racers i never dreamed I would ever be able to beat or pass in rounds...

and i was offered a job as the new race announcer for bandimere.. ;)

have fun with the baraacuda!! cant wait  to see and hear you running it more!

Well that is/was the plan, but I have to admit it may get put back a bit.

I have the car, and it's sitting at our daughters home in California.

I'm going down to get it sometime in October, and will likely take it to our home in S.C for the winter.

From there I really don't know right now.

But I will let everyone know what's going on .
