B'Fest times!!

Post by Asylum »

You guys HAVE to keep me informed on the times at the track.

The weather looks to be hot and humid, so I am assuming (hoping) my 9.06 N/A V6 time is probably untouchable.

I'll have to check Kerri's graph for the MPH standard, but if it's humid it's not going to be close. Edit! 77.45 mph.

Now the Power Adder (Nitrous/turbo) issue may be very interesting.

Lil'Jon, Pat, anyone else serious showing up?

Post it up and have a GREAT TIME!!

Wish I was there! :good:

I'm not faster anymore. The car has some major issues I need to resolve... For one it's MAJORLY fuel starved when I try to run the nitrous... May be something with the fuel pump I'm not sure. Also my 1/8 times show something isn't right, I couldn't even beat Geoff and his 3400 5-speed... My best was a 9.8 so there has to be something a miss somewhere since I know my brakes didn't slow me down from a 9.006 to a 9.8 since Geoff did the same setup and didn't see that much of a drop. If any...

It's gonna get put on the back burner for now, I just can't afford it right now, and other things are more important, but it will get taken apart soon. How soon it goes back together is unknown.

Well that sucks!

It's early but just off the top of my head that is about 15.30 or so, so obviously something is not right.

Cheer up. You'll figure it out! It's just a car.

And enjoy the rest of the weekend.

At least it looks pretty this year. lol.

I don't know if I want to run the dyno, but it will tell me if there is a major issue. I'm thinking some of it may be due to my lifters possibly pumping down badly... But we'll see.

Well my compression check was promising... 175 psi on each cylinder, so head down the motor is fine... so now I just need to pull the intakes and attack my lifters and inspect my cam for proper lift... that's gonna be fun. Should be 323/355 lift at the lifters... I have a gauge to check each lobe. I remember having to do this quite often on the race motor, but that's more likely to loose a lobe since its a flat tappet and not a roller cam. Rollers are very hard to wipe a lobe out on.

I dont think I ever mentioned this yet... Tiffany's Subaru's best time was 11.1@64! hahaha

And I have finally found a way to be deadly consistent with a manual transmission, you just can't have enough power to spin the tires!
