Took my Black LGO GTZ to the strip

Post by GTZryda »

Went to Cecil county drag way tonight, got there early to get alot of runs in but that was not the case. Half hour rain delay, and outta the first 10 cars 2 oiled down the track. That was the theme of the night, oil downs. Racing started at 6 pm, stopped at 10:30 pm, and i got 3 runs in.

I got two 16.1s

My best run in my LO GTZ was

60 ft 2.380
330 6.716
1/8 10.287
MPH 68.12
1000 13.387
1/4 15.966
MPH 87.80

Not too bad for a LO 3.61 gear quad 4 i think.

Stock times for a GTZ with the HO is 16.0 - 15.9 - I don't think you have the LO cams, unless you have done something else to the engine that I don't know about. When I raced against Prides car, both with the stock setup pulled 16 flats a few years back (louisville).

Taking that tube off only makes the engine get feed with hot air....

Sometimes yes, but also having multiple bends will restrict flow and hurt the motor more.

update your times in your sig ;)
