PM's lost?
I have lost a few PM's after I took a long time to write them. I hit submit and it said cannot display page. I did try to go back and they were gone. Anyone know what's going on?

Re: PM's lost?
I had this too. For long pm's I copy the message before I send it just on case something happens I can just paste it and resend it.
Most likely something is timing out and causing the error. Weather it's your browser or the site I am unsure, I can't remember if I ever had it happen here.

The old site didn't do that. Just stating a fact, no bitching here. Yeah, I'll make a copy until I hear more about this. I type slow and sometimes open new tabs to look for links. That could be the problem.

I've had it happen more than once so far. Although, I have learned to copy it for pasting when that time happens..... Just it caught me off guard ONCE! !

Copy and paste is what I'll be doing. Will, do you have anything on this?
I just thought the site was going down. It was twice do to attacks.

Re: PM's lost?
The site didn't go down for attacks on it, the server it sits on crashed once due to a dos attack on the sql server, and I disabled it until that was resolved. I didn't want them to end up restoring a backup and having people lose posts as a result. As far as the pm issue, it is timing out on the session which is server side. I will increase that delay a bit, but the longer the timeout, the more prone to exploit the server becomes.

Re: PM's lost?
I'm starting to think it has something to do with IE7. Looks like the site is working for everybody else, for me it's been down. I sent one short PM and then tried to send another. Bam the site went down and I just now got back on.

Shouldn't be an IE7 issue either, I use 7, 8 firefox, safari and opera for development and don't have any issues with it.

Is this one of those need to delete cookies things? I just don't know why the site locks up on me so much.
