This is a '94 base beretta!
It may have been worth 6 grand in '98. It is worth nowhere near that now!
If you were selling that car, I'd make you an offer of like a grand tops, after seeing the rust issues.
Did the appraiser know about that? Did he even look under it?
I'd like that guy to come appraise my 76K mile '96 Z26 for say... hmmm... about $12,500, and my rust free '94 Z26 for maybe 10k because it has more miles on it.
Whoever appraised your car is off his rocker for sure! Pathetic!
Just know it's worth nowhere near 6 grand, no matter where the car is located on the PLANET let alone in Canada.
On another note, it's your car, you can do what you please to it. Take care of it, you've done some nice work to it so far, (minus the spoiler of course haha) and welcome to the site. We aren't all trying to seem like asses here, just simply stating facts.

I'm done with this.

This place was actually maturing quite nicely but I guess we were due for a new fool.

Too bad he's giving Canadians a bad name.

I hear strip clubs in Canada are pretty awesome.

I'm not going to pile on here, but I just may contact your appraiser when I do an agreed value policy on my Beretta. Because I don't think mine would appraise for $6k with someone who knows what they're doing. And I've got almost triple that in it! haha

Don't get all butthurt because of some people's comments... sheesh.

I actually am impressed by the amount of work you did on the rockers; I don't think many here have that sort of talent or time to commit. Hell, most people with that amount of rot scrap the car out and start over on a rust-free chassis (I can think of three people off the top of my head who've done that on this site).

Great Pics. I see you had to repair the rocker panels. I have some of the same repair to be done on my 96 Z26. Keep up the good work and keep the pics coming.

Ok I am going to venture into this pit ONE more time!!

Professionally licensed appraisers don't care what you think your car is worth.

And we ask very few questions about the vehicle we are looking at.

We have to report to the Insurance carrier and justify our determination.

We are just settling on an ACV (Actual Cash Value) of the vehicle should a mishap occur and repairs or replacement required, once a claim is made.

There are exceptions!

If a vehicle has specific and special options, a very expensive audio system, or is in some way considered by the automotive community collectible, then an appraisal would be nice to have in-hand.

YOUR car has NONE of that!

If none of the above conditions apply then being 20 years old might get you some attention for a VERY pristine car.

You don't have that either.

So quit with the BS and enjoy the fact there are a lot of folks on here who have forgotten more about these cars then you will ever know!

You may actually learn something!~!

Well I dont know what to say to you. Its under Original section and its 15yrs for the cheap insurance now. Dont know when u last checked the rules but maybe you should?

Maybe because me and my buddy are the only ones around here with beretta's? What do i have to do to prove to you i have the classic insurance? dont try to bitch slap me in the face when you cant prove i dont have it.

I really dont know what to say... Im not bullshitting you.... I dont want trouble on a very nice forum of the same cars that I own...

Those wheels kinda blow me away. It looks like the white paint is coming off on the front drivers side. I was wondering if they were all white or body color at one time.
